I am sure I have a pic somewhere . Taft rail ?? Do you mean aft rail ? The F36 does not use a railing on the stern as the cockpit is deeper . I do not recommend removing it on the F32 to easy to fall over .

On the door the top part swings up and over ( hinged ) and the door swings open .
Yes Craig, "Taft rail" is the correct nautical term.

Sorry , I don't speak Canadian very well . Seriously I did not know that .

"A Taffrail is the aftermost railing around the stern of a ship, often, but not always, ornately carved. A taffrail log is an object dragged from the stern of the vessel to calculate the vessel's speed through the water. During the 19th century, American sailing ships sometimes rigged a mizzen mast and sail from the taff rail in light airs."

I had 3 Trojans at one point, my first was a open model, had a deeper cockpit and no taft rail, the other two both had them, I took it off mine, previous owner took it off the other one as well, I wanted a transom door/tuna door but dont really need it without the railing

Thanks for the confirmation Jimbo36 and for the offer bigdave603 but I think I can handle it, but if you are near come on over when I do it. Prowler so sorry for the canadian language will look for my American dictionary lol, my boat does not have a taft rail, my F26 did, but we like it without the rail, easy to sit on and easier access to and from swim platform but still would like to cut out and put door in, thanks for the replies. Hope all of the Americans can understand my Canadian language lol, I will find that dictionary soon.
