Shower pump

So far I just switch the hose from shower to bilge under the sink. I have all the parts to make a manifold so I can switch from either bilge or the shower but so far it is still on my to do list. It certainly could be used to pump the keel but I am still a bit uneasy about drilling the hole into the keel, with my luck I would miss.

Drill the hole Andy  Drill, drill, drill
I can almost be certain there is water in there, and nasty water to boot.
And there really is some therapy in drilling into the hull of a boat (but its not really the hull just a fake.......

I tapped and found the hollow center its really quite wide back by the engine compartment maybe even 8 or 10" wide. I used a dremel tool to cut the front open and hole saws to cut the rear in the engine room.

This pic if forward looking aft at the bow

Mac 32 did you cut a hole in the hollow center in the bow and also in the engine compartment does the water tend to lay in the bow or at the stern when the boat is docked I will be putting a pump in soon
Thanks

My boat seems to be bow heavy when at the dock, but this will be the first season with holes in the engine room floor so I am not sure how it will really look regarding water depth in the keel.
