Its free to me and I just want to do it, as I feel giving her a name will make feel that I have something. So of course the wife is going to TEST my skills. OMG I wasnt expecting this!! Im going to Office Max tomorrow to have the paper layouts made in banner strips. I could beat her right now, but I like her idea to much, Game on!!! This is the kind of fun that involves alot of swearing and throwing things   ... Stenciling straight lines is hard. Cursive requires alot of patience with long lines like these. DAMN HER!!!! Thats alot of Cursive!!!!  I got this.... 8)  It will last forever, no stickers to replace every few years will be nice.

pulled side windows. It was acually easy. I can see why they leak so bad. I was surprised to see no sealant on the 1 inch frame what so ever, just simple bonding tape between the window frame and the boat shell. Windows were a bit heavy at 25 lbs each! If I were to put these windows back in, wich I am NOT. I would urethane them and add sealant on the frame and inside seal.

making the filler for the side windows, Any suggestions on how to layer the wood up to 1-1/4? Expoxy them togather, wood glue? nails with wood glue? Does it really matter how, if its just a filler and getting glassed over?

Jeff there is available much thicker plywood, however you would probably have to buy full sheets and that would be $$$$$$. I would laminate.

I was considering laminating. I found 1 inch sheet of hard ply but yes its pricey and still 1/4 short of what I need. Looks like $ any route I take. If I bu the ply I would need a sheet as these a long windows. 2 would fit just fine on a sheet.

IMHO, bite the bullet and get the right thing. You have it apart, you have a plan. Why skimp at this point? Your only going to get one chance to do it, so do it right the first time. How many times have we looked back and said " I should have"?
Just my humble thoughts.

Jeff, a few thin sheets laminated together are more structurally stable during temperature swings and stronger than one single thick sheet.
