Hey Lads
A few years ago My bilge pump began cycling every couple minutes.
I checked the bilge and the water was hot Oh good blew an engine hose.
Tied up at our destination shut down engines. but the bilge pump kept cycling, until the water was cold and pump was still cycling. After several tense moments I discovered the drain plug at the rear of the muffler had blowen out and there was a steady flow into the bilge. The Plugs are now retapped with Duct tape over them, and all clamps between muffler and thru hulls I replaced and check regularly Also check the support for the muffler

she is a 73 Built in Niagara on the Lake by Sheppard Boats Still sportin 400 cid Chryslers with walter Vee drives. I am the second owner. She came to me pretty much unmolested.
