I have a throw cushon I keep next to me on the bridge. My DNR cop buddy says he actually prefers to see that vs. a throw ring. He says, and I agree, it is easier to hit the target with it. It has 2 straps that someone can put their arms through. I have practiced throwing it and whenever I have new guests on board I go through a standard safety drill. I also have a dedicated throwing rope snapped to the stern rail that has a small crabpot bouy attached to the end of the rope. I also keep 12 vests on the bridge and 4 in the forward cabin.

Ring on the bridge and throwable cushion at the lower helm with seperate line. On the bridge or below, there is something to throw. :? ..... I don't know why I rhyme but I do it all the time. wow... I must be tired.
