I just took this one, its raining pretty hard now, they are predicting 5 - 10 inches of rain.

Notice the black duct tape over my fuel tank fill vent, thanks RWS!!!

those lines on the pilings are way to low they could pull the bow down , you need to raise them

dougnash has floating dock , don't think the bow will pull down if the dock and boat both go up and down... ?

well she survived the storm ill have some pics up soon 3 friends and i spent sat night on ower boats thru the worst of it and its a good thing to water rose 5.5 feet in 6 hrs wind gusts were 65 to 72 mph we lost power around 11 pm and it realy started crankin aound 1 am besides tending to ower boats we reajusted 17 other boats and retyed (due to brokin lines) 3 others and pumped out 1 (high water alarm ) due to hatch cover blowing off we had 2 gennys and 4 sub pumps and a mile of exstention cords just in case and yes all cords had plug in gfis sunday morning was the end of a very long nite one i hope dose not need to be repatted any time soon on a pluss side a few of the owners of the boats we saved thanked us in the form of beer

So I weathered out the storm on the boat.

No problems, it wasn't so bad.

We didn't get the high tide surge as they said.

Probably the worst part was the howling of the wind throughout the night.

I had 10 lines holding her down, she barely moved.

So at the highest point those lines tied to the sailboat and post were about 2 ft under water.

Its great to hear that you guys & your Trojans made it through safely. Being from the great lakes I've never dealt with a situation like a hurricane before. Its gotta be a horrible feeling. Will continue to send my prayers to you guys out on the east coast for a speedy recovery from the storm!

My marina is home to Sea Tow Freeport Long Island, covering the western part of Great South Bay on the south shore.

These boats were all hauled in yesterday and today, Irene wasn't as nice to them...
