So, its not 'required' in Canada?
We have a few road stations with ethanol free 93 octane, but its about $0.50-$0.75/gallon more, but worth it to me.

Ontario Regulation 535/05: Ethanol in Gasoline (made under the Environmental Protection Act) requires fuel suppliers to ensure an annual average of five per cent ethanol in their gasoline.
So this allows the Industry to be selective on how they meet that avg: .... hence none in Marine fuel nor in higher Octane road. Note some suppliers use more than 5% (read Esso) in the low & mid grades to allow for this overall target to be achieved easily.
The Canadian way is to encourage not require... this is how we work in more than just fuel requirements.
Also our provinces have a lot of control of their domain... less Federally controlled than the US. This lack of a single boss has obvious advantages and disadvantages

Yes, but your provincial reg DOES require a 5% average, so its not a whole lot different than the US fed reg then. At least there's an opportunity to provide some E-Free gas in the US and CA.
