I'm looking for a 72 inch sleeper sofa for that spot. Remembering the ones that came from the factory gives me nightmares in plaid. I was thinking something a little more modern and durable than the original.

What types of ideas have you had for upholstery?
Currently I have no idea. Once I finish the floor and varnishing the walls I am going to replace all the cushions inside, so whate ever it will be they will all match. I am pretty sure it will be 4" foam and sunbrella fabric though.

tri cabin aaron
Hi Aaron, I have a latch but it isn't installed yet. So far I have a little line that comes over the back and hooks into the hatch, it works great and I might just make a nicer one and go with that arrangment.

Fishblues wrote:Really nice job, I like the design of your bench seat and would use it If I did not need a pullout sofa... 3 kids. Although I guess their is still plenty of room for a blow up on the floor

I have included a pic of the floor in my F32, good luck with the rest of the work!
thanks for the photo fishblues, you just gave me an idea! I think I am going to put the same trim you have around the hatches.

And by the way you deck looks great :D

Keep us updated as things progress along. I too like the sunbrella fabrics, I have some on my patio furniture on my deck. Its been holding up great. Its been 5 years already and there is very little escape from the harsh summer sun out there. So far, no problems. I am confident it would hold up well on the boat too.

Great job. It's nice when an owner cares about the boat, that is usually very evident at resale time. Pride of ownership always = $. Also helps the boat sell quicker, not that any of us EVER plan on selling, right? Again great job, looks factory, only better

That looks excellent in the boat. As you said it looks factory original. The functionality of it is also very hard to beat.

Thanks to everyone for the comments, it kind of lets me know I am going in the right direction and will not end up with a boat that no one would want to buy down the road.

Not much progress on the floor, I've been tied up removing the starboard side salon woodwork so I can replace the upper panel. WOW, what a pain. When I was ready to start screwing things down I realized that I
forgot the screws that I needed for the deck back at home, so I wired my new White/Red LED lights instead.

Back on the cabin refit.

I replaced the big panel on the starboard side that was full of holes and cut outs to gear that is not needed anymore. I am not sure what to do with the sliding locker panels yet, the old ones are coming out but I am not sure about what should go back in. White ones, the same, any ideas?

Replaced some of the flooring with new wood, leveled it, and layed down teak and holly plywood. Big difference! Changes to whole look of the boat. I am not sure what to use to glue it down, 5200? again, any ideas from people that have done this would be helpful?

I'd think about using rubber cement to stick it down. Lord help up if you use 5200 then ever have to replace any of it.

Doug - this idea with that sofa is AWSOME great :D :D :D
Here we have right now the same problem: We're working at the v-berth and need space in this area - so all staff up to the saloon.

Suddently the engine specialist came to the boat with spare parts and all the furniture must placed back to the dinette and v-berth

Your solution is absolute a 'must have' for F-32 owners.
How much are the blueprints for that
