i sold it today for $ 250.00 to a retired guy who cruises, and will use the anchor.
My boat does not have a windlass, which is why I want a smaller Lewmar bruce knock off, (22#)
I have had tremendous luck with a 33# bruce on a boat twice the displacement, and I did get cold feet before I sold it today.
anyways, I'll probably regret selling a real Bruce, but not while I'm hauling anchor!
I totally understand about the windlass. Our boat had the 32 Bruce when we bought it, but no windlass.....We added the windlass about six weeks later! Do you know how heavy that thing is with a load of mud and weeds? lol!

Keep the Bruce! That thing is the best! Heck, if you don't want it, we'll be glad to keep it....we can swap you a nice Danforth off the Albin for it. lol!
To answer the original question: 32 lb. Bruce, obviously, with 20' chain and 200' of rode. It doesn't budge. I think you can't be over-anchored, especially if you have a windlass.
I might keep it or I could be interested in a trade, I dunno yet. It might come in handy if I need to dredge anything.
Whats this Danforth on the Albin like? Anything special?

lol! Not sure about the Danforth. I have a photo I'll email you, but most of it is hidden under the pulpit. We have another one aboard the Trojan that might also be trading material.

Oh, and another one in our garage. Sheesh.

LOL. Yeh I know what you mean Nancy. I have four or five different anchors in the garage. A bunch of different chains, rodes, etc. Where the hell did all this stuff come from??!!
Looking forward to pics of the Albin.
