yup but I still try to buy cheap and sell high . (what can I say )
When I bought mine it was in the mid range for a F36 gas in good cond. but it had newer Diesels so I got a steal and could have made a buck , but now I could not get what I paid and forget the money spent on it .
but I lost more on investments.

See there is always a bright side if you look hard enough.

Prowler,
you must have misunderstood me, or maybe I lead you in that direction, I NEVER expected to get my repair money back, included in the sell price, but at least what I originally paid for it,
seems I am the only one thinking that way,
everyone else that is selling always seems to add repair/maint money onto the sell price which is absolutely correct, in a GOOD market, which is how I got this boat, by doing that with smaller ones, HOWEVER now thats not possible, seems only the buyers understand that, not the seller, I would sell mine immed right now for what I paid, less the repair /maint money which, lets face it is necc to keep a boat, car, etc in correct condition, I hate , being in the car business and people always say,, I just did brake,s tune up, tires etc, so they immed think the car is worth more,
but the reality is those things always have to be done, see what I mean

Michael Yes sir I could have invested the money instead and really be broke
Bill , understand . In this markit to get the same price you paid is hard ( not easy in a good markit .
But there are a lot of great deals out there . I have been looking at 40 plus foot boats and they are going cheap compaired to 2-3 years ago . some boats I have looked at around 100k would have been 200k a few years ago . so if you lose 5k on yours you can turn around and save 100k on your next boat

just be glad you did not buy the 200k boat back then .

LOL! I'm catching on all these posts and this is the only one that made me chuckle out loud. My wife said "what are you laughing at?" If she only knew why our boats never sell - despite my honest efforts!
Trojan Prices

Well, I am a little late into this thread, but being in the market for a Trojan F32, I wanted to add the fact that on the west prices are all over the place, but something to remember is the fact that it is almost impossible to borrow money on a boat that is more that about 20 years old, 10 if through a credit union. Then add the fact that on this type of boat, lenders want to lend more than 50,000. at this price you are in the Bertram / Hatteras / Viking catagory that have a strong names. I think the Trojan has nicer lines but the name means something.
I still plan to buy a Trojan F-32 soon regardless.
