I went and pulled my cover Friday, and started doing some spring cleaning. I had tied my tarp down along the platform last fall, and when I was untying it I looked at my tabs. It got me thinking about this thread with the 11m.
My tabs are mounted to the bottom of the hull, not the transom, and the tabs themselves are flush with the bottom. This is not what is shown on the pics of the 11m in this post. Realizing, of course, that many different designs have been used in the last several decades and mine is not an 11m I started to look around at other boats nearby me to see how their units were rigged. Another Trojan, a Carver, 2 Silvertons, and a Mainship close by me are all basically the same with some differences on models used, but all mounted flush to the bottom of the transom.
Did they do something different on the internationals or has someone been mucking about with the OP's setup? I am going back over there later today. I suppose I could find one and compare but thought someone here would know.

Re: Trying to get an 11 Meter on Plane
Read this thread with interest and have just spent the past week getting up close and personal with the bottom of my 11 meter. I have several photos which are on point with the trim tab installation. I have stock setup from the factory. When I bought mine, it had approximately 200 hours run time and the previous owner told he had made no changes the boat since he bought at tthe Ft Lauderdale boat show in 1985.
