Tiki Bar! :D

Laid back, plenty of marinas, nice time whenever we go.

It sounds like the Solomons are a good bet and we have some interest. How many others are willing to make the trip?

I would certainly meet up with anyone who wants to go there.

We'll also need to come up with dates that work for most Captains and their Admirals. I'm going to do my best to start saving for the fuel expenses next year. I'm guessing in the $7,000.00 range for the complete trip. Maybe I should start passing the hat now.

I thought the boat that travels the farthest gets all the monies. LOL Allen Sr, I agree with your philosophy. I'm never going to grow up.

OK guys, we'll look at our schedule but for most "working" people I'm assuming that July or August are the best bets. Let me know the general consensus and we'll pick dates. Since I'm so far if there's someone that is close by and knows the marinas I would suggest that they talk to the people down there to check on rates and availability. I normally would like to arrive on a Thursday or Friday and leave on a Monday or Tuesday. I really have to keep an eye on the weather for the Atlantic and Delaware. They can both be a little nasty at times and I prefer calm seas.

Wes, FWIW, I have been to Solomons in August a few times and can tell you that summer storms in the bay are more unpredictable later in the season. I've waited a day before, heading south back to the Potomac from them creaping up on ya from out of nowhere!

Either month will work with us though.

Hi Jamie,
Then you suggest July more than August. I'm hoping to head up the Potomac either before or after stopping at the Solomons. I used to cruise the Potomac back in the late 60's and would like to do it again. My only problem is with the gas guzzler we have now I have to stop for fuel evert 80 to 90 nuatical miles.
