I'm hoping someone here has gone through the search of replacing their fuel pump. Engine is Crusader 320 Horsepower (454 I think). Not having much luck sourcing the part. Any ideas?

Try beacon marine , But your really should know what engine you have and what year it is .

Thanks.
It's my mom's boat. Year is 1971. Engine...big block GM is all I can tell. I think it's a 454. Sticker on the valve cover says "Challenger Crusader Model 320 horsepower".
The main issue is that the part (Carter 0-1648) doesn't appear to be made anymore and I can't find a cross reference for an aftermarket substitute.

Can you post a photo of the pump and engine ? A big block Chevy pump should not be a problem . I believe the engine is newer then the boat as I don't believe Trojan offered Chevy / Crusader in 71 .( but anything is possible ) Most were Chrysler marine and some Mercruser Fords . Anyway a photo of both would be a big help .
BTW what Model(size) Trojan is it ?

Thanks for the reply prowlerfish. I did happen to snap some shots of the pump when I was there yesterday, but unfortunately, I didn't get photos of the engine itself. I'll have to go back for that. It was stamped with "2 GM" on the block though.
I'm not exactly sure what the exact model of the boat is, but it's a 1971 Trojan 42 Motor Yacht.

I'm pretty sure what I need is a Crusader 97843. I've confirmed these are Chevy 454's. I couldn't find it on beacon marine, but I did on these sites.
