I recently replaced my exhaust manifolds on my F-28 portside 318.
The stud closest to the stern leaks water and has an exhaust tick when running at high rpms. Did I losen the stud when I took off the nut and does this stud run thru to the water jacket? Thanks.

sounds like your gasket is messed up right between the stud and that exhaust port.

It is possible the stud enters a water jacket, or someone at one time turned it in to far.
