I am going to bite the bullet and install a 16,000 BTU reverse cycle air conditioner in my F-32. What manufacturers do people have on their boats and which ones are quiet. Anyone heard of Marvair? The pricing is half of others but must be for a reason. I think I need the 16,000 BTU size. What size do other F-32 owners have? Do they have two or three vents in their boats? Does this size cool effectively?

I have the Crusair w/ digital MSX control pad. Love it...
You should look at the newer units, much lighter and technically compact more so, than the two year old unit I have.

I looked at units on the web, sure I could find some for less. But you get what you pay for. Good luck on your search.

I just installed a 19,2K unit from Artic Marine Air http://www.articmarineair.com this spring. I met them at the Chicago Boat show. The initial interest was that they would custom make a unit to fit into a space vs needing to fit a standard unit into a space you have. We have a 1973 F36 that had the old unit installed in the "lockers/cupboards" just below the lower helm to the starboard sidewall.

I then found out that hey had a these 19.2K units that run on 120V. I really like the extra capacity. One 16K was not enough on a 90 degree day to cool the salon and I didn't want to go to 2 units or 220V.

Also, I like the price. If you call there for a quote, tell Michelle hello from me. She was great to work with. Answered my thousand questions before I bought.
