Rudder Gauge

So the rudder gauge on my 89 international is looking tired. I would like to change it out and was wondering if this is a plug and play. Do you need a specific type of gauge? If you have two engines does that change the type of gauge required, etc.?

We have an 88 International, and am not sure what you are talking about. Maybe it was an option, or added later? We have a rudder position sensor as part of our auto pilot, but it was added later and is tied into the NMEA network on our chartplotters.
