Hey gang,
Random issue—Went to start the boat last night and my port ignition switch (lower helm) would not spin the starter. It would do its usual alarm buzz when you turn the key, but nothing past that.
Full disclosure, I haven’t looked into the problem yet—we had family over today. I figured It’s a bad switch?
I started the boat from the fly bridge without issue.

Re: Ignition switch going bad?
Its possible , but check connections at the switch . Then check for power to and from the switch

Yup. Sh_t happens, usually when you least need it to. Got “stranded” a few years back at a marina off the Erie Canal with a bad ignition switch. Happened on a Saturday after we spent the night at their dock. Had to wait until Monday afternoon for replacement. Turns out they had a pool, bar, restaurant, and a lot of nice people to hang with. So, sometimes sh_t does turn to shinola!
