Hello,
Can anyone identify these components and functions on an ignition system of a Chrysler LM 318 in a 1973 Trojan F31 Flybridge. I am trying to diagnose a RPM issue with the Starboard engine, maxing out at about 2200rpm at WOT. I've noticed a few differences in components on Port and Star. I also think I comprehend and understand all the components, but thought I would ask the experts!
Greatly Appreciate it in advance.
Tim

When did Chrysler switch over to electronic ignition? On my 74 318 it had points. Maybe someone swapped out the distributor or the complete engine? The distributor cap has the screws where my 81 318 has screw down clips. If the distributor was swapped out possibly the centrifugal advance springs are wrong or pooched.

Bob says in 74 some time I was thinking 73 .there may have been a mix of both for a while (stock on hand)
