F-32 window panels modification

Posted this in the Official Trojan Facebook group but was asked to preserve here as well for folks who might be considering something similar.
The previous owner had taken off the side window plates but kept them. I’ve noticed some models have them and some don’t. They were in rough shape and honestly I didn’t like how they covered the window. So I had a blacksmithing friend cut them down to cover the ugly gasket but not the opening. He also rounded the cut for me to avoid a sharp edge. Was a little torn between matching the gel coat like original or doing something else. Tried brown for now. Kind of messed up the last coat of paint but I’m hoping it fades a little. I think i like it for now.

I like it. Other than covering up the rear gasket, I don't really care for them. Good job!

I like how you unshrouded the window -- and thanks for posting here so others can take advantage of your idea!
