I know I asked this before and someone was nice enough to answer and send a picture, but where is the USCG Documentation number located on the 1990 12 Meter Express? The hull id is on the swim platform. I can't find the old post.
She is for sale so I need to find it.
Thanks in advance.

There is no exact place. Trojan did not install that number. The first owner who documented the boat did. Commonly put on the engine bulkhead. I could not find mine when I bought the boat. So I put it on the bulkhead in front of the port engine. Years later I found it on a rear stringer. Sorry not much help.

Our 12 meter Sedan had it put on a stringer near the forward part of the engine.

Have you ever seen it? There is no rule against having it in more than one place, so you could put the numbers on again if you fail to find them. It is always possible they were never put on, covered up, or removed.

I have never seen it. I'm wondering if it's under my generator. Previous owner pulled out the crusaders and the gas generator and put in Detroits and a new diesel generator. My suspicion is that they might have painted over the number or it exists under the new generator location.

It is always possible. I hate to sound like a broken record, but seriously I would think about Putting the numbers ( new) in a visible spot.
From another site:
"It must be permanently attached to your vessel. But, unlike state registration numbers, the ON of federal documentation is affixed to the interior part of the ship. But it has to be in a clearly visible area. Apart from the official number, you also need to include the name of your vessel. The name may consist of letters of the Latin and Arabic alphabets or Roman numerals. It must not exceed 33 characters. Before you use your documented vessel for international cruising, make sure that the USCG documentation number has already been attached permanently to your vessel according to the requirements of the USCG. To display the number in the interior part of the vessel, you must mark the NO first before the designated number. The number has to be printed in Arabic numerals and capital letters. Furthermore, it has to be at least three inches in height."
