My rear head is clogged beyond repair, I believe the pump has stopped creating suction. The front head had the pump replace back about 4 years ago and now I think, although it has been rebuild, it is time to replace the rear one.
What is that pump called first and where do I get a decent one for cheap, 2nd??

What's the brand? Usually can get replacement parts for the pump, etc. I have a cheapie Jabsco that works fine but needs replacement parts (usually seals) about every 4 years. The replacement kit costs half the cost of the head but I'm stupid and stubborn and really don't want to rip out the toilet.

I'mnot sure, I haven't looked at the pump yet. I just know it was rebuilt 4 years ago but not used for the past 3 years, so it's pretty newly rebuilt. My dad put a brand new one on the front head and it will suck you into it like an aero plane toilet. Don't know if another rebuild is what's gonna do it.

Then maybe it's time to look at the cheapo Jabsco. You can get one for under $150. It's manual and works fine.

Need more info. Make, model and any numbers you can supply. Sounds like the front unit may be a vacuflush model, the way you described it...

There may be more to your rear unit than you think, than just a pump or motor.

Perhaps you can take some pictures?

Yea, they are both vacuum flush units. Don't know any other details.
My Heads have the chrome button behind the seats that you push when you go in, the red light comes on, then it turns to green then you press the pedal down and it sucks the stuff down. If you need extra water you pull the pedal up. Pretty nice when they work.

I have been rebuilding my vacuflush system and the fellow who has been helping me in Mike Starito at Northeastsanitation.com. He is not cheap but he can guide you through any situation with vacuflush.

Raritan makes a good throne. PHE-II. Electric, easy to get kits for & easy to repair.

I installed SEALAND vacuflush toilets and they work great - GREAT!

That airliner sound you mentioned sounds like a Sealand system to me. Check out their website.
