"roll up" cabinet doors on international

I have a new to me 1987 trojan international 10 meter express. The cabinet doors in the kitchen area roll up. On one of them the cabinet door the guides/rail are broken up and it is hard to open or close the cabinet door. I bought the boat this way.

I'm wondering if the door roll mechanism is stiff, causing the person opening it to push harder, therefore breaking the rail/guide. Or. did the rail guides just break and now it is hard to make the doors roll up to open.

Has anyone messed around with these before?

The previous owner on mine used spray silicone, however I have not used any to date.

Perhaps what he used has remained as a residual over the last 7 years, I do not know. Keeping those tracks clean and free of debris or sticky liquid spills is also important.

I believe that the "appliance doors" on the Intenational Series boats are also referred to as "tambor doors or tambour doors" Googling that on the web may provide you with replacement product, I'd like to hear back from you to see how you made out.

I just bought the replacement for my tambour door last fall from Bob at Beacon Marine. I know he said he had a lot of white left. He will cut to size. :D
