Wow! Well, can I have all the salon space he got rid of?

You know what's really kind of sad? The Trojan hull is worth all this renovation because new designs are lacking, overpriced and fragile with who-knows-what for coring. You'd think modern boat makers would just go back to doing it right?!

In Asia they are going back to what works. The new Horizon Yachts are 7 layers of solid glass with one kevlar thrown in there. Heavy on the bottom and light on top...kinda' makes sense!

i love when an old girl gets new life. i wish i knew what yard did the work.... i would ask (beg) for all the ''h'' channels they removed and the princess range parts. i only wish i had the funds to take my current f32 to a refit yard and say, ''here is an unlimited budget----let's rebuild her''

Your absolutely right, imagine having those kind of resources that you can spend whatever you needed to refit your boat and maintain it,
to be honest I like original, I would , (if I had the money) do a complete and detailed restoration , of any boat, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it would have to look like the day it was delivered,. For me, older vehicles , cars boats, planes , everything, always have ten times more character than the new ones, even though the new ones would dance circles around older ones in every respect . But sometimes its not about that is it?

Who want's to start a business? I'll have my guys make a "cap mold" for this design on an F-32. We could buy beat-up ol' Trojans for nothing, put a new boat on from the rub-rail up and power them with new, hybrid diesels.

by looking at it I would be willing to bet that that this was a storm damaged boat that got a new life. Not sure if I would fork out $50k though?

Here's another somewhat 'modded' F32... This company specializes in building custom aircraft interiors (typically private planes I guess) and decided to experiment with boats a few years back.

Originally they redid an F32, then put it on the market for something like $120K. Don't think it has ever sold. They built an entertainment centre into the starboard side of the salon, rebuilt the 'typical' F32 galley, and cleaned up the vberth, dinette, and head. They also rebuilt the instrument panel I think (but these pics don't show it very well). Teak aft deck was pulled out and replaced with King StarBoard, flybridge was cleaned up with new electronics etc, and the rest of the hull was Awlgripped. The last 5 links on their 'Photo Gallery' page show the original boat, as does the page for 'Services'

By the looks of these pics, I am not sure if they have reworked the same F32 or did a second one (or if perhaps the new boat is an F36?).... the first two links on the photo gallery page (for their 'latest completion') shows a different interior than the original boat, that is rigged as a fishing battle wagon ...

I always like looking at these kinds of pics to get ideas for what could be....

I see that it is a mix of both a f32 and f36, but on the f32 they changed the v-berth to a double. I wish there were more pictures of this, it is somthing I would like to do.

I'd sure like to change my V-berth to be a sideways deal like that one. Feet aft with a tv up in the corner...nice work!
If I had that boat in Canada, I'd use that big TV cabinet for one of those fireplaces with the hologram fire and built-in heater. I'd have an LCD tv pop-up from behind it.

Who the hell would pay $350k for a clorox bottle type SeaRay when they could have that renovated Trojan for 1/3rd the price....crazy.

Mac32 - I may have other pics at home; this boat was shown by GAMG at the Toronto International Boat Show when they first finished it (probably around 2004?). I may have taken some photos and I recall a little brochure they had made up. Will try to remember to look for them over the weekend and see if there are any better shots available.
