I bought a 1976 F28 two years ago and love it. Looked at a few over couple of years but too many cover-ups and little teak left. Was told she was in WI for 28 years before FL so SS, fiberglass and remaining teak is still good. Interior semi redone but nice. Needed a bit of TLC from sitting in water. Crysler 318's cruises at 2700 rpm, 15 kn. Running 13x9 props. We idle a bit also but have been averaging under 10 gph total.

We go out most every weekend and cruise for a couple hours or just go out a mile or two in the Gulf & drift! Not great in seas over 4 ft since only 24" draft but handy around here.

Looking forward to news & comments. Thanks
:D

Hey, Gofish, where is your boat on Lake Erie? I'm at Battery Park in Sandusky.

Welcome aboard. This is a great way to learn about your boat and get a lot of good tips on maintenance and repair.

David Kane,

yep, our boat is on Lake Erie. Right now the boat is stored at Channel Grove Marina, but just payed for dockage this summer at Catawba Moorings. This is our first time up north. We live north of Columbus and have spent our times at Alum Creek. We have just got tired of the lake traffic and ramp traffic. So we spread our wings and bought our first Trojan this fall. Its a 1976 F28. You can see pictures at: http://www.photobucket.com/gulla

let's try for a lake Erie rendezvous this coming summer. Perhaps a day at Kelly's Island, SeaWay Marina?
