hi all
what do you guys think should be a fair price to do a full enclosure for my flybridge, on my F31
all I have now is a bimini top and would love to cover the whole thing
just was wondering

Bill my brige is larger then yours but I have a hard top and I payed $4000 a year ago . this with good " Glass" you can save money with cheap glass ( plastic wndows) but you will be doing it again in a year or two . use 40 mil nothing less . a good job will run from $100 -$150 per footv ( messure Distance around fly brige ) plus the top if needed
not cheap but nice on those cold damp days ( or any rainny day ) I even put a heater up in mine . life is good

I am getting my canvas and isenglass replaced over the winter at $2000. I am reusing the stainless tubing frame. The bridge area of my tri-cabin is larger than your flybridge, but I thought this info might help.

Jim. Who are you using to do your work?

wow, thats alot of cash, but I guess its alot of work
its gonna have to wait,

a good canvas job is worth every cent and will really improve quality of life on the water....

What thickness isengass are ther using ? that price sounds way to cheap .
mine was 4k using strattoglass but that only added a few hundred to the price .

Had to check with the guy that's doing mine about the isenglass thickness. He says he uses 40 gauge.
He did the Sunbrella canvas, isenglass and new stainless tubing when I bought the boat in 1998 (for $2200 I recall). The isenglass is very clear and has none of the haziness or fuzzy appearance I often see on other boats. After ten years, the isenglass is still in good enough condition that I considered replacing the zippers and reusing it with new canvas, but he made me a deal to do all new for $2K over the winter.
One possible price difference he pointed out is that my Tri-cabin has a glass windshields versus your flybridge models.

Sounds Like your getting a good deal I had 40 mil isengass that lasted about 10 years but the cavas was getting old the isengass still looked good . I went with 40 mil strattoglass this time . it is coated isengass that they say is better . But we will see in time , when you see the "Glass" clouding it is becuse of use thin glass like 20 mil or cleaners or both ' I have seen new tops look bad in a year

Jim .... I think the size picture comes with his Paul's seniority. hahahaha I can't use anything bigger then 80 pixels myself. I'd like to have a full encloser done myself, but I don't think it's in the budget this year.
We'll have to see how some of the other projects come along.

I know its probably alot of work to do an enclosure, but I think the canvas guys are way out of control,, I mean 4 grand? ya gotta be kidding me

it must be "Paul's seniority" cuz I have no clue and even less computer skill. The first time I did it it was a whole page had to keep playing with it . with help from others here Jav and Rossjo I belive. there were a few way to large on here you could not even see the posting . Jav and david Kane have larger photos the me ( but not to big )

i used ss canvas in the middle river area for my aft deck cover. scott does great work, is very reasonable and i think he can travel to your area. not sure though but his email addy is http://www.sscanvas.com as for resizing the avatar for your screen name, i resized through a program called vueprint pro. it's a great program and you are able to resize and rename the pictures then paste them to the photobucket website.
