I know we have members all over so I thought I'd ask here. What sort of marina rates do you guys have going?

I'm thinking I'm missing some info, the marina down the road is showing approx $3000 a year for their most expensive slips. Looking at marina's out in Seattle, WA or Ketchikan, AK appear to be more in the range of $600 a month.

Is the West really getting ripped off that bad? It may make us have to rethink the size of boat we could be comfortable with.

I pay 2k a year for a covered slip and the marina also has a pool. I'm located in Virginia, (northern neck)

i have a f31,it cost me 65.00 a foot which comes out to be a bout 2000 a yr april through oct,with water and electric

Are you planing to move to the Left coast ?

Mooring rates are high in the Chicage area, and I'm paying about the highest rate.... Location, Location, Location
I have a 40' slip in downtown Chicago in Burnham Harbor. Chicago has 9 harbors and Burnham Harbor is my first choice. I'm a nonresident of Chicago so I pay an extra 25%. This year my slip cost $5,659.70 (April 15 - Oct. 31)

A lot of ifs down the line, yes.

If I get a commission in NOAA, and if I get assigned to a ship in the Hydrographic field, I'll be home-ported in either Norfolk, VA; Seattle or Ketchikan.

$ 39.00 per ft. where i am. The big ritzy guys are are in the low $ 50's.

42$ a foot whare in at in nj and 23 $ a foot for winter storage

Here in MN, the cost varies greatly. We pay $1800 for the season of open water which is roughly late April and they make the last boat come out on Oct 31. Its another $600 for haul out and storage in an open lot over the winter.

30mi north on the Mississippi / St Croix closer to Minneapolis/St Paul, it runs around $6K for the same sized slip.

We pay a little over $5000.00 for the season in the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior. This includes water, electric and on land storage. The club house is very high end with kitchen, showers, big screen TV's, ships store and more. We are very happy at this marina. The marina is just over three hours from home, we try to make it up most weekends.

Up here in the Great Lakes it is $60/ft Winter covered storage in a shed. Slip charges are $46/ft, hydro is extra $140. launch & haul is included.
All in Canadian dollars, so saving 20%.

I've looked into it out hear, in Los Angeles, Long Beach, and orange county areas, looking at over $300 a month for our 25' express cruiser, and most of the better located marinas have a year to many years on a waiting list. $300 is just the low end by the way, it goes way up for the more desirable marinas. I'm thinking of dry storage were they launch and recover for you, that can be had for as low a 150 or so a month.

Being retired military I keep my Trojan F 32 at the Patrick AF Base marina here in the Melbourne, FL area and rates are $3.50/ft including electricity, water and military guards!! :

I'm in Chula Vista and have full live-aboard status on the 36'TriCabin. She's a little over $700/mo. Pretty inexpensive living in SoCal.
