Got to go to a wedding tomorrow... but it's close enough to the boat to relax afterwards. :D :D

Just taking it easy, maybe take the boat to the swimmin' hole. Who knows...no rules!

You all have a great weekend, be safe and enjoy!

phil and i took EVENT HORIZON out this morning for about 3 hrs and just enjoyed the water and the early morning cruise. we left around 8am then ported back in around 1130. and yes, he LOVES being at the helm--yippie!!! maybe he is FINALLY getting into it. anyway, i have some great sequence shots that some of my fellow slip holders took of us leaving the marina but do not know how to post them. i sent them to wes and paul, maybe they can assist me in this. all in all, she looks great underway.
went back on flight duty this evening for the next 5 days, but do not have to report until 1300 on sunday so i am heading back down and giving her a nice bath.

Aaron .... where'd you go while you and Phil were out? I didn't get out till around 3pm and just got back in. I'd prefer watching the sunrise, but my wife like's being on the water at sunset. you can see who won.

 Friday night we set off to Chesapeake inn. Can You say BOOZE CRUISE. Everyone but the Captain was liquored up. As everyone was diving in the coolers i was thinking about the trip back. We had a total of 10 people" 5 Couples" on board. Beautiful weather as we set off for our 9 mile voyage. Current behind us give us a 19.7 -20 .5 kt steady cruise @ 3k rpm. We pulled in at the inn and set up a dock party right there. The Chesapeake inn has 4 different docks and a live Band. Tiki bar, and food to order to your slip. The have awesome Crab Pizza. It is the home of the famous Canal Day. About 1045pm we shoved off to a full moon cruise back home. The moon provided us a smooth clear transition safely back to the home marina. There was not even a ripple on the glass like water. We ran 14.5 - 16 kts back home safely. We use to do that event atleast twice a year until Hanah & jules became our main deck swabbees ( when the were born). It really was a beutiful blessed night to remember. It is totally a sweet thing when a plans all come together

butch, sounds like a great time. as a kid i used to love when we took the tri cabin out for a full moon evening cruise in the dc area. phil remarked that evening, friday, that he had never seen a full moon so bright before. i told him that if he thought it looked bright here in towson, imagine out on the open water. nothing beats that. i hope i can come up one day this fall to finally meet you, since i did not get a chance to do so at the rendezvous.
will, we took EVENT HORIZON as far as heart miller island, the BGE plant, then headed back towards martin state airport. all the time dodging those bloody crab pots---since when are they allowed to be in the channel anyway?! it's like a mine field! when i mentioned going back to dock, he said he wanted to explore more of the small coves towards essex, so that's what we did. he puts up a fuss about going out, or at least putting his business on hold for the few short hours i require, but, once we have cleared the last slip in our marina, he's at the helm and ready to go. who am i to argue because i get such few chances to take her out. like i said, maybe, just maybe, he's learning to enjoy boating for what it is. i am glad we chose the early time frame to go out though, because i understand it got really busy later on.
there are still some really nice days ahead, so i will do what i can until it's time for the winter layup :(
