Welcome aboard. I agree about the long winter. I don't look forward to it at all. And your right about the forum helping us getting through it. I just ordered a book from Amazon about how to maneuver a single screw boat in close quarters, I'm kinda new at this, and that will help too.

I hate winter! Here in MN, the boat's on the hard by the middle of Oct. I've snuck it back in the river mid to late April, but you really can't enjoy it again until May. Thats seven very very very long months.

Starting planning a January and a March or April trip to the FL Keys just to keep my sanity. The boat's only been out two weeks, and I already have cabin fever... this is gonna be a bad winter...

Welcome Captn. Where on the Hudson are you? We're up on Sacandaga Lake, but plan on our next trip on the canal to take us out to the Hudson and either up to Champlain or down to NYC. All depends on time, money and how the mighty Blue Heron is feeling about the trip.

You have that right Wes, Spring commissioning is well underway, I was able to get the hull compounded and waxed today, will be working on the topside tomorrow, then will put the cover on and start on the inside....
