This site is not one that suits constant use of a chat room like a stock trading site might.
It is still suitable for a group of people to chat realtime on something specific like say... planning a get together, rendezvous etc: as one can see comments of others in real time without having to refresh the thread comments over and over.

well if it is there for our use,i think we should take advantage it.especially during gthe winter months.it would definetley make the long winter nights go by quicker
