bonding system on 10m mid cabin

Was a bonding system standard from the factory? My boat has one but the wiring is a mess, I can't believe it came from Trojan this way.

The green wires are running all over the place so I'm in the process of cleaning them up and using wire ties.

My real question.... is it necessary to have bonding wires run to the stuffing box (inside the boat)? The engine is bonded which in turn bonds the transmission which in turn bonds the prop shaft.

On my boat, a bonding wire runs across the bilge and is attached to a worm drive clamp on the edge of the packing nut. My stuffing box leaks and when I got the boat, I thought someone threw on an extra clamp to try and slow down the leak.

I would just assume eliminate this as it seems redundant. What do you guys think?

P.S. - all the other thru hulls are connected (or will be when I'm done) and tie into the zinc plate on the stern.

not sure it's necessary, but my stuffing boxes are also bonded.
