I would like to replace one of my temp gauges. I see a # of 06886-78 but no manufacturer name shown. It's round, black face with the lower celcius scale in orange (F is in white) and says "WATER TEMP" in the lower right hand corner.
thanks,
Bob

Bob, these should be VRO gauges. Don't know if its possible to find that vintage, check with Beacon marine.
it looks like Teleflex makes one that's pretty close

Since you brought up gauges, after dark, I struggle reading mine.
The white (red would've been better) gauge light is too dim and the switch indicators are so blasted bright (blaze orange???) they create shadow on the gauges! I have to put a towel over them and then still squint or pull out a flashlight.
Has anyone dug into these and succesfully reversed the situation?
