Don't know about the others, but I'm starting to have withdrawal symptoms already!
I'm surviving now only because there is a West Marine only about 10 miles from the house and, as I did today, went there to buy a few things. Got all I need to put a flag on the stern an a pulpit flag pole for my new Trojan pennant
Got to get a little at a time so I won't run out of reasons/excuses, to go there!
It has been in mid teens at night, so I go each day to check on the boat!
But, it's going to be tough getting through this next 6 to 8 weeks

This is actually pretty pathetic - but I drove 6 hours round trip today just to see my boat up on its blocks and all shrink wrapped. I just wanted to see it and make sure it was OK.
It will be the middle of April when it goes in the water and I take it to my dock. I guess 3 1/2 months is better than 5 1/2.

I stop by mine every third day to check cover and rub the sides.
Winter is always tough to get thru, will be going on a cruise at the end of March out of Baltimore. This will be hard to let someone else pilot the boat!

About 4 1/2 months for me. Splash in does not happen until mid May.
Planning on going to check on the girl tomorrow. Its -14F right now. Its suppose to get to -19F over-night. Should be a balmy 3 degrees around 1PM on Sunday. We've had about 18" of snow the past two weeks, so the main point of the trip it to make sure the snow has not crushed in my cover and is holding snow / ice anywhere.
I've got to figure out how to earn a living in a warmer climate

MTP,
Oh,,,sorry,,,I guess I misread your post, my boat is, still in the water.
But,,,at the same time,,,when the temps are in the mid teens, it's difficult for me to sit on the deck of the boat and drink a cold beer or a glass of ice tea, and really enjoy it,,,, while I'm freezing my ass off.
So,,it may as well be out of the water!
Larry
PS, But I really feel for you who have such long winters. I use to live in central Illinois, and we had some real cold weather. We also have relatives in upper Ohio, and it's even worse there. I don't know how they do it!
