Post by Rodman »

I have a friend that lives few house`s down that is a master welder. I gave him my strut that was broke into from owner before me. This guy took it made it new again. I will post a photo. As I did not know, the strut is made of (High Grade ) stainless steal.

Photo below is where it was broken. I am sorry I did not take a photo before it was fixed.

Looks good , the OEM strut was bronze so its been replaced before . I look at the glass were it mounts to make sure its ok and if it was repaired make sure it was done right. I learn that the hard way .

I will check that, I think I read a thread where you got a hole in yours? Had to run it back to the Mariana. When its slow here on the forum I always look at all the old threads. I enjoy reading them, I am working on my girl everyday to get her in the water by end next month. Only thing that was major was that strut. But I figured I needed to do some of the small stuff while she was out the water, once she is floating it may not get done.
