Advice needed on changing fueltank senders.

Hi, I have a '74 Trojan Tricabin with original senders in the tanks.
I re-did my dashboard with new Teleflex gauges. The senders don't mate up, reads 1/2 tank at full, and then does weird things from there on out (like goes backwards towards F, etc...).
The Teleflex senders seem cheap enough, but how much of a PITA is it to switch them out?
Any issues pulling them out? (they are directly under the salon floor.) Hoping I don't have to cut the floor to replace them.
Any advice would be appreciated! (Like do the holes line up? Any tricks or tips? etc....)
