Legal trailering widths/lengths
I know this has been addressed before, but I have received conflicting info on the legal limits on length and width for trailering a boat mainly in Florida. I have an F26, how wide is it? What is THE definitive answer?

That is correct Prowler, the Fla. Stat. 316.515 and 316.535, state that the max width is 102" excluding safety devices, max height at 13'6" and max of two linked vehicles with max length of 65' for non comm. vehicles. A yearly blanket permit is (I believe) $20. Will call the FDOT tomorrow.

Let me know tomorrow, cause when I used to do Pilot Escorting we had to escort anything over 12ft wide. Anything under that did not require a escort or permit.

The statutes are clear, anything over 102" must have a permit. Called the permit people today, and was told that anything 10' and smaller is $20 a year for a blanket permit. Over 10' and it is $330 a year. Ouch!!! Have read that they are sticklers for the rules in the keys. They don't even look twice up here. Will look up the warning light and banner regs in a few and get back to you.
