I am in the midst of some interior work. As part of the project I'm changing the vinyl wall coverings of the master and guest stateroom. Has anybody done this? What product have they used? I don't want to use household wallpaper but obviously want something that will hold up to the abuse it's given. Thanks

was just going to ask the same question, I remember there being a post on this not too long ago, maybe a week or so, was going to go back thru posts to find it, if that helps any.

Foofer B- thats the post I was thinking about, further back then I thought, amazing how time flies.

Peter, I here you about household wallcoverings but have you considered a commercial vinyl wallcovering?. I used this in a restoration seveal years ago and it is still in great condition today. It is a fibre based wallcovering that requires a separate glue process, much like Marine vinyl would require. If you look around you will find it much cheaper than Marine vinyl. Jimbo36.

And you are just jealous about us 25's and 26's speed and portability. That or perhaps you are overcompensating for something.

Jimbo 36; Thanks, will look into it. I had actually done some Internet shopping looking at this, but I'm trying to keep the budget down. so far, I have only been able to find it by the roll, which is way too much paper, and more money than I want to spend. So far it looks like I'm going to be using a combination of Marine grade vinyl [remnant purchased cheap from eBay], and paint, with some teak trim to make any transitions look professional.

Peter, you might try looking at some canvas shops or upholstery shops for material. They often have large remnants.

Spent all last weekend in fabric shops in beautiful Cleveland, looking at upholstery and remnants. [All good ideas.] understand the point about touching the fabric, but have had good luck on eBay price wise.

Compensating huh... [insert snappy comeback here... damn, can't think of one]
