I use a little less than a gallon each spring for one coat.

Depending on how thick you lay it on a gallon should do 250 to 300 square feet. on my F30 I used 1 1/4 gallon.

Add on to what Reely says... also depends on the paint you use, and how high you wrap the waterline up the side of the hull... Some paints are desiged to go on very thin, others go on thicker. Some (like Interlux VC17) have solvents in the paint that evaporate the longer it is open, so you can go through more of it because of that. Re location of waterline - a previous owner painted the antifouling of my F32 almost 6" above the water line, so I have an extra 50 square feet to cover.
Having said all that, mine generally eats up just under 1 gallon per coat. I used VC17 for a few years, and just went to Interlux Micron CSC. With the VC17 (bought in quarts) I would have an inch left in the last can. With the Micron (bought in gallon can) I have about 1.5" left in the can when done.

9 1/2" roller with a 3/8" nap, and using a brush only where needed (for the tight corners/sides of strakes, and waterline where you have taped off), your consumption should be pretty close to mine. I do the full bottom, struts, rudders and trim tabs. I don't paint my shafts.
With CSC though, you do know you don't have to repaint every year, right?

Don't have any real input, but isn't it kinda ironic/humorous that the question of how much is by TADTOOMUCH!!!!
TOO MUCH

Yea it seems whenever I do something, I do it just a little too much. I'm very good at applying at tad too much torque on bolts til they break. If drinking is involved then a tad too much is where I end up. If I want to buy something it costs a tad too much for my budget. You get the idea. I'd like to end up with just a tad too much paint when I'm done.
I chose the Micron CSC because it is one of the paints compatible with the Awlgrip Awlstar that the previous owner used and it will give me about three years use before repainting.
Fun begins on Friday.

If you put the bottom paint on while the boat is in the water maybe my buddy Tuck can loan you some scuba gear. Of coarse it might take a lot more paint, huh, Tuck.

.......... sorry Tuck I couldn't help myself.
