Boat Window Glaze

Anyone know what to do about re-glazing those small Port windows? I may not be calling them by the right name. There are two of them.

One window is over the sink and the other on the port side of the boat. They both screw tightly into place when closed.

The white caulking on the outside of the windows or whatever is cracking from age and I need to re-do it. Is that stuff a window glaze? Anyone know the name of the product and where I can get it?

If it is just caulking, just pull the bad stuff out and re-bed with 3M 4200 or 5200.

Yes, it's caulking. The stuff has those shrink cracks all around the window. I'm going to buy the stuff today and get to work on it. Thanks for the advice.

On another topic: In the bilge there is a glass domed filter that is attached to a gate valve. Does anyone know what it is? What it does?

Thanks, I have no idea what it does. The gate valve is stuck and the glass looks like it needs cleaning. I thought that maybe I would take the glass off and clean it before launching the boat. Let me know if anyone else knows about this glass thing.

Always appreciate helpful comments. As I learn, I hope to share knowledge with others on the board.

Re the glass dome and gate valve : Follow the hoses to see where it goes. IF the gate valve is stuck open, it is important to get it freed up (ie don't just clean the site glass), because if the glass piece ever breaks you will want to be able to shut off the water supply! Could be A/C, Generator, or engine. Slight chance it could be for a washdown pump as well.
