Hey all,
How much should one expect to pay for port-side impeller replacement on a 454 ? Would have done it myself but the ole girl is still in Virginia. Should be going to get her sometime next week. Looking forward to a lazy trip down ICW. then across Florida and Gulf.
Thanks, Rick / F-36 Miss Kitty

I paid a guy to change mine last month as I have too busy to do it... he carelessly broke the top oval fingers when he pried out the impeller.... $64 for that little part... be gentle with her!

Hard to say with out seeing how hard it is to get to , some are easy and some can be a pain and on a boat anything can happen and a Mercury and a crusader are completely different are other makes so to to guess is just a guess with out knowing how hard it is to get to ,the make of the engine conversion and the condition of there pump.

In that case why not do it your self ? The boat yard that its at I believe is Norton's ? they have a good reputation even thought they are geared to sail boats

And keep a spare impeller on the boat for your cruise.
Call or email when you pass through Charleston - we'll buy you a cold beer...
