mid cabin - curved windshield

Post by BobCT »

My curved plexi windows looked terrible, they were all scratched up. I also have a small crack in one corner so I called Taylor just on the off chance they had new ones or at least the mold, no luck. I'm sure they would have been a small fortune anyway.

I bought a 3M headlight restoration kit at Pep Boys for $20 and the results were remarkable. On one side, I did the whole process 500 grit, 800, 3000 and then polish. On the other side, I just did the 3000 and polish and it looked just as good. The kit attaches to a cordless drill.

I only did the outside, I might do the inside as well but it's easily a 90% improvement at about 45 mins a side.

That's a great idea.

I never would have considered doing that.

Thanks for sharing, it's what this forum is all about.

Bob,

Thats what I did and it worked pretty well. I used Meguiar's Headlight Restoration Kit.
