Anyone already figure out a good decal color replacement? I have the maroon/pink/creme type color scheme pattern from the factory (I think). Also--As always with everything that is boating-- the pinstriping decals do not come off very easily. my efforts incude the 3M wheeel and heating and scraping. I wonder if I found the exact size if I could just go over the old stuff?
Some new pinstrioping they make now with the metallic sparkle would really make the boat look good I think.
I have a 1987 Trojan Int 10 Meter (330 Express)
Dave, I'm doing this now.

I spoke with Bob at Beacon, he has the stripes but kind of steered me away from them because 25 year old adhesive probably isn't any good.
I'm running three separate stripes. They're 1", 3/4" and 1/2" (roughly 2.5" total with the spaces). West Marine has those sizes if you look online. I couldn't find a tri-stripe in the colors I needed and the sizes above. Great Lakes Skipper has some which might work for you. The other option is getting a vinyl graphics place to make them for you.
I'm using Black, Blue and Green. I have a little of each color on the boat and that is what originally came with it (odd combination).
Stick with the 3M wheel, it will work. It's one of those things you need to get into a rhythm with. Once you're in the "zone" and it's coming off, go as far as you can. It took me some adjustment (speed, angle, pressure) every time I re-started. Also, make note of the cheese grater used to clean up the edge of the wheel and don't let it get too hot.
I found an up/down motion across all three at once worked best. I got some color smudging from the blue which came off with Acetone.
