we had a professional photographer on a boat at our blessing of the fleet this past weekend, and he's posted them for review and sale.

being the sucker that i am, i just couldn't help but to fork out some beans and grab a couple of shots of the boat in action.

just wanted to share. :D

we had some MAJOR winds this last sunday. luckily for us here in chattanooga, the storms that hit nashville missed us by just a few miles...but we got the winds anyway. this shot doesn't really show it, but we were dealing with some pretty heady waves...compared to what we normally deal with.

this was taken at the end of the parade, just as the priest was about to do his bit, etc. we were sheltered by the chickamauga dam, as well as some high hills around this area, but we were still having a hard time holding in position. the flags tell the story of the wind.

had a great time and was truly blessed to have missed the storms so we could do our annual blessing of the fleet. :)

I´m not sure, Tuck, but isn´t that the German flag, or moore right; the east German flag? From Deutche Demokratische Republik?

it's the current, official, german state flag (bundesdienstflagge). it's definately not east german. :P

and before anyone starts with the "why do you have a german flag on your boat?" again, i'm of german decent. and the flag on the right is the first navy jack...i'm waiting for a u.s. yacht ensign in 2x3 so i can fly it from my staff. :D

as far as the waves...again, the photo doesn't really show 'em. for what we usually have on our river/lake, they were heady...but nothing what you coastal and great lake types deal with, i'm sure.

 I C !! Well, that explains a lot.... I´m out from the vikings. Actually I can find a couple of viking earls / kings very early in my family three. For more than 800 years ago.... Long before the Trojans.
