I'd be curious what the performance is with the I/O's

I know where the picture was taken, but he boat is not currently sitting there. I was gonna check it out to see if it looked like a conversion job (inboard and rudder pulled out and stern drives installed), or if it looked like an original power situation. Oh well... will keep an eye out for it.

I am quite sure I saw that boat listed last summer when I was looking for our boat

I looked at a twin Volvo Outdrive equipped one in Port Perry in 2006.... decided it was too small inside and shifted to F32's in my search.

This is my first post, but I too am from CT and saw the boat you mention. I believe it was listed on the local Craigslist.

I emailed the gentleman asking about the boat and he informed me it truly was an original dual I/O set up. Whether or not this is the case, it has been the only one I have ever seen, in person or online.

Nice looking boat. That would make a real good fishing boat on the Great Lakes. Plenty of room to haul in some good sized King Salmon, Steelhead, and Lake Trout.

I bet that boat is severely under powered.
Years ago I had a 27' SunRunner with twin Volvo AQ151'S. The engines were 4cyl with twin carbs. The boat was so underpowered that it took the fun out of boating.... and I bet the Trojan out weighs the SunRunner by more than just a little.
With four people on the boat two had to go into the cabin just so it would get on plane. And yes, it did have the correct props on it. Those little 4cyl Volvo's can really turn some rpm's.

I have enjoyed reading all the forum entries requarding this Trojan.
I just purchased this boat and it is my dream entry into boating comunity.
Answers to your many questions will be forth coming. Before I launch this unit I'M giving it a good going over (tune up, electrical, an all other marine systems)
As to whether it is original in requards to the power system the answer is yes it is all original.
The boats is in very good condition a lack of use by the previous owner for the past few seasons appears to be the biggest problem I have found so far.
If anyone can come up with the owners manual electrical system manuals it would be a great help.
I left a phone message for Bob at Beacon marine but have received no reply yet.He might be at the Trojan meet this week.

Good Boating to ALL
