Thanks to my years and years of experience of handling a single screw I demonstrated to the first mate of my life how easy it is to swing around and back down to the gas dock, using the prop walk in reverse to gently swing the stern around while coming in to dock on the port side. Naturally, I demonstrated how much power the residual inertia has on the edge of the swim platform as you come in TOO FAST and then swing in WAYYYYYY TOO FAST, resulting in what I call the "rice krispie school of docking" (snap, crackle and pop......).

Now I'm looking to replace the rub rail/ trim along the rear edge and side of my teak swim platform. I'm not having a lot of luck finding the original, which is screwed down pvc/metal strip. Would like to replace with something like that, but all I'm finding is rub rail for the hull. Need to find something less than 1 inch wide, preferably cheaper than ss.

Any advice, other than "practice landing that boat a lot more?"

Two things I just had our sponsors Beacon Marine repair and place a rub rail around my boats swim platform, they have the rail. I am sure would sell it to you.
