Looking for a value

We are looking at buying our first wooden Trojan. We are looking at a 1969 36' Sea Voyager. It is in fair shape now and we are looking to restore her to very good or better condition, where she belongs. What we are wondering is what she might be worth in her present fair condition and what she might be worth when we are finished with her.
Thanks for your help.

Book values for older boats are subject to a huge variation depending on condition, equipement, and customization. To get a good feeling of the value you need to either hire a surveyor who can provide an experienced assessment or spend time looking at a lot of comparable boats to develop a feel of your own. Most insurance companies will probably not place a very high value on an old boat even in very good condition.
Good Luck,
