mid cabin driveline parts - will travel!

I'm working with Bob getting my shaft and strut, they're a couple of weeks out.

I also need a prop and rudder. I'm going to take my rudder off and see if it can be straightened because getting a new one is 10 weeks out! (foundry is closed).

If anyone has a line on any midcabin parts, please let me know. If I can get a good used rudder I'll do that as a back-up in case mine can't be salvaged.

thanks,
Bob

Bob , I end up replacing both of mine so the would match , the 2 rudders were cheaper then 1 that was a match . they where 10% smaller and more up to date design and I believe less drag .

that crossed my mind....

but I managed to find one. Now I'm on a mission to find a strut, Bob has one on order but it'll take a few weeks. Ideally i would like to find one to install now and then keep the new one as a spare.

I don't want to go through this again, I'm loosing at least 3 weeks (best case) of the peak season.

Something to think about for everyone. If you come across running gear that fits your boat, buy it and put it away!. I wish I had.....

Bob,

The struts for mine during the refit process were built locally.

Surely there is a compentent shop in your area that can do the same?
