Trojan Boat Forum

I have a 1978 54' trojan yacht with 8v71 TT's. they both need rebuilding. should I repower with something else. Dont know anything about the big diesel engines and what is good or bad. But I have to pull them so I want the right thing now before I have spent the $$$

I would to a Major Overhaul (MOH) on the Detroits. Tey're good engines, and will last a long time ... replacement would easily cost double MOH.
