Has anyone trucked their F32?

Post by jordan »

I'm debating trucking my F32 from Chicago to Bayfield, Wisconsin in spring or running it up Lake Michigan to Lake Superior. I don't want to take the flybridge off, I've heard of people getting their boats done this way. If it is not possible then I will keep it in the water and run it up the lakes. Any ideas, comments or suggestion?
Thanks, Jim

When I purchased my F32 I had a 170nm trip to get her home. I explored trucking it. I was told I had to remove the flybridge due to wire and bridge heights. Cost wise bringing down the lake the 170 nm was $500 cheaper.

F-32 trucking

I have done this a couple of times. Really very easy. Remove the outer part of the flybridge and set it on the front deck. Then remove the helm. Most all of the wires are on a block and are all color coded. It takes about 5 hours to remove and secure for shipping.
