You'll get a kick out of this.....good example of getting old. I went to one of the stations listed and filled up 6 5-gal containers. The pump said big bold letters "Pit Stop - With Ethanol Free Gas". The price was 2.83 a gal...not too far off from what we pay for unleaded regular corn gas here. Went in to pay and told the guy behind the counter about how great it was to have an ethanol free supply between my house and the boat, AND at just a bit above the regular corn gas price......he told me that I just bought 30 gallons of e-gas! Apparently there is a button on the pump that you can select e-gas or e-free gas (which costs $3.18 a gal - still about a buck less than the gas at the marina). Sure enough it was there in big bold letters (that I did not read).

So.....I just put 30 gallons of e-gas in the boat along with stabilizer. I'll burn it up before the season is over and I just learned an $85 lesson in buying ethanol free gas.... Read the instructions dummy!!

I've stopped at a few stations that "said" they were Ethanol Free, but I've always wondered.
