If Earl stays off to the east, we should be fine...we still could get anywhere between 35-50 knot winds, in the bay area, as this model shows...

Hope Earl changes his mind and bumps off east sooner than NC/SC. If not, based on its projections even us "safe" upstate NY ers might feel him breathing down our necks. Not much room to run on a lake, every shore is a lee shore in a blow like this. Good luck guys down south!

Lake, creek, bay, etc. what the difference. Can't leave - where would I go anyway? Unless I picked up and headed for Miami ...
Outer Banks looking to get a direct hit ...someone here lives in Beaufort ... better get her tied down!

Well made it thru no problem, just a little wind and very little rain here in the morehead city/beaufort area. I think danny might have gotten it a little worse up in oriental.

We have gotten very little rain and wind where I am at. Looks like west of us and east of us has gotten the rain. I have not checked the boat at Salt Ponds yet. Tide surge is not supposed to be to bad. I will see when I go there.

I hope for the best for the people located up on the East Coast. Looks like they could take a pretty good pounding. Hope it lets up berfore it gets there. I do know that area's on the coast next to the water did get some flooding and damage.
